Its stiffness, load bearing capacity and bending resistance make it ideal for use in the construction of wharfs, bulkheads and quay walls. The large surface area of pipe piles allows them to offer substantial frictional load resistance in deep foundations, as well as point bearing properties.
SSAW Pipe Piles
Spiral Submerged Arc Welded Pipe Pile (SSAW Steel Pipe)
SSAW can be manufactured in large lengths and diameters. Spiral welded tubular pipes are produced from internally and externally welded steel coils. Piling pipes can be welded with pipe shoes to enhance drivability in difficult ground conditions. SSAW are often coated for use in ports, bulkheads and jettys.
Pacifica Piling can produce spiral welded pipe in diameters from 14” (355.6mm) through 120” (3.048m) in thicknesses from 0.179” (4.5mm) up to 1.0” (24.4mm)
LSAW Pipe Piles

LSAW pipe piles are manufactured from steel plates and can me manufactured in thicknesses of up to 4 inches (100mm). LSAW pipe piles are used for steel pipe piling and used extensively in the waterfront/marine sector. They can also be fabricated for use with clutches, shear rings, and other fabricated components. Other applications for LSAW pipe pile include as king piles in conjunction with sheet piles to form a combination wall.
ERW Pipe Piles
ERW steel pipe piles, or Electric Resistance Welded pipe, is utilized in a wide range of ways, including in water well drilling, in the construction of fences and as sign posts of various sizes, and is a common component of large equipment systems found within engineering facilities. Each unit of ERW tubing is composed of low-carbon, fine-grain steel of the highest quality available in the industry.
Because of its chemical composition and the cold form method with which it is manufactured, this particular type of steel pipe pile tubing is ideal for applications in which corrosion resistance and a high level of toughness is required.
